'माँ' ये वही शब्द हैं न जो मैंने पहली बार बोले थें, तूने कैसे अपने आँचल के घेरे खोले थें, लपेट के अपनी बाँहों में तूने छाती से लगाया था, आज तेरे बेटे ने तुझे 'माँ' कह के बुलाया था। गिरता था जब मैं,तूने गोदी में उठाया था, सहला के मेरे माथे को,रोना चुप कराया था, आज मैं दौड़ता हूँ जिंदगी की इन राहों पे हो निडर, ये मेरी माँ थी, जिसने अपने पैरों पे खड़ा कर मुझे चलना सिखाया था। तूने सिखाये थें अपने नाम के अक्षर, फिर भी, पूछने पे तेरा नाम ,किसी और के, मैंने बस 'माँ' कह के बताया था। क्या बताऊँ मै, कितना डर जाया करता था उस वक्त, जब मेरी बदमाशियों पे तू गुस्से में कहा करती थी, जा मै तेरी 'माँ' नहीं हूँ, भूल के अपनी सारी जिद, मै बस रोने लग जाया करता था। कुछ भी नहीं बदला 'माँ', मेरी नजरें आज भी मुझ से पहले तुझे ढूंढा करती हैं, मेरे लिए आज भी मेरे परमेश्वर से ऊपर तू आती है, क्या हुआ जो उस ईश्वर ने मुझे बादशाहतें नहीं दी, रियाशतें नहीं दी, पिता है वो ,उसे माफ़ी है, मै अपनी 'माँ' का राजा बेटा हूँ, मेरे लिए बस इतना ही काफी ह...
